The Journey

When we were first married we had a dream of becoming full time wedding photographers. That dream happened 1 1/2 years later and we’ve been behind the lens ever since!

However we knew that work 30 to 40 weddings a year was not feasible for us once kids came, so we started planning and dreaming up new business years ago. From monkey bread to gluten free cookies and tech startups to new apps, we knew the right one would come along eventually.

Since finding the joy in owning our first business together, we knew that’s something we’d want to do forever – God willing (as my Grandma would say)

Then, in 2014, years after already ditching chemical-filled candles – I found essential oils. I fell in love fast, introduced oils to some friends and started my own little oils business.

Although that business hasn’t grown as fast or as big as one would hope, it brought us this: Essential Oily Life. Dan, seeing the potential of having a Young Living business, built me a website and we took lots of great pictures to supply it with. That website quickly became a “duplicateable” site for other Young Living members to have a similar (already made) one as well.

So this is our new venture. It isn’t what we thought it would be but it is amazing. Essential Oily Life has given us even more freedoms than photography did, and has the potential for much more.
